Entering into a dialog with my inner voices.
Where and what is my very own music?
For most of us the world is a noisy affair. We are surrounded by sounds, incidental and intentional, enveloped in music of all sorts, music we selected and spaces we visit that subject us to their choices.
If we want to find the music within we have to quiet all that and listen, deeply listen, and trust in what we discover.
The majority of my musical collaborations take place in duo constellations. Sometimes there are two partners but rarely more–or less. I am always looking to establish a dialog.
In the case of this evening (12/07, 2025 in Konstanz) it is a dialog with my instruments and the echoes of sounds within myself.
Regarding the sonic content there will be traditional intervals and microtonality, melodies and drones, tones and grains. Some of it I can control, some of it suggests creative options.
“Dialog with inner voices” is a shared listening experience. I bring six of my favorite instruments, envelop my listeners in a multipatterned weave of sounds and see where we drift.
